We are all available for adoption or will be in the near future! We would love it if you took a few minutes to look at us! We are all unique in our own ways. We are sweet, loveable, playful boys and girls of all ages. We are all looking for different things in a "hooman" and in our "furever" home, so read our stories and see if my friends or I would be a good fit for you. We just have so much love to give back to that special "hooman"... is it you? Can it please be you?
Because we are a Volunteer based organization, we ask that you make an appointment before coming to visit our dogs, Some may be in a Foster home and we will need to work around everyone's busy schedule
We have a CONVERSATION STYLE adoption method. What does that mean? We will ask you to tell us about your lifestyle, home, work schedule, and dog experience. Based on that conversation, we will only show you dogs that will possibly work within your wants/needs.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A PUPPY- Please fill out the Puppy Pre- Adoption Application below. We generally do not do same day "take home" adoptions with puppies. By taking the time to complete the Pre-Adoption Application for Puppies, you will have time to reflect and speak to other members of your household about the realities of raising a puppy.
Please reach us at info@willistonanimalgroup.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our adoption fee is $150 for adult or large breed dogs and $200 for puppies or dogs 25 lbs and under
All of the dogs are either spayed or neutered. Plus they are up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on current heartworm/flea/tick preventative.
We make the upmost effort to ensure a good fit for your family-including the furry kind. After you submit an application, we will have an in depth conversation about your needs, your home situation, lifestyle, the animals you already have and the needs of the new family member. We can facilitate a meet n' greet with your dog(s) and the dog you are considering adopting.
It can take time for a new dog to acclimate to your home, and WAG is here to support you! If you're having concerns regarding your adopted pet, please give us a call. WAG provides behavior and training assistance whenever possible. Check out the BEHAVIOR AND TRAINING tab on this site. It is loaded with tons of valuable information and sourced carefully. We also recognize that sometimes a pet just isn't the right fit. We do our best to accommodate adoption returns, but you will need to make an appointment to be sure we have space available.
